Kids Haircut Flemington NJ: What Parents Need to Know About Hairlines

Finding a barber who is good with kids is harder than it sounds. Kids move. They get nervous. They don't always know how to explain what they want. And parents want the result to look clean, not rushed.

At Hairlines Barbershop in Flemington, NJ, kids' haircuts are $26 — and Paul Montera has been cutting children's hair for over 30 years. Parents from Flemington, Raritan, Readington, Ringoes, and across Hunterdon County bring their kids to Paul specifically because he's patient, quick, and consistently good. This spring, with Little League and outdoor events returning across Hunterdon County, it's a great time to get your child's haircut freshened up. Springtime events at the Hunterdon County Fairgrounds and around Flemington mean fresh haircuts are in demand, so plan ahead.

What a Kids Haircut at Hairlines Includes

• Consultation with the parent — Paul talks to you, not just the child, to understand exactly what you're looking for
• Scissor and clipper combination — depending on hair type and style
• Neck cleanup — every cut includes a clean neckline
• No rush — Paul doesn't double-book or rush through kids' cuts

For First Haircuts

If it's your child's first haircut, Hairlines is the right place. Paul is calm, moves slowly with anxious kids, and knows how to keep the experience from becoming a trauma. Many parents who brought their sons to Hairlines for their first haircut are still coming back 10, 15, 20 years later.

Student Discount — Same $26 Price

The $26 price also applies to students — high school and college age. Show a student ID. Hairlines serves students from Flemington-Raritan Regional School District, North Hunterdon High School, and the surrounding district communities.

Special Pricing for the Community

Hairlines has always offered community pricing:

• Kids & Students: $26
• Seniors: $26
• First Responders: $20

These discounts reflect Paul's philosophy: the shop is part of the community, and the community should be able to afford to use it.
